Affiliate Marketing Platform
Designed and built the entire platform from scratch — frontend, backend and infrastructure — handling up to 20,000 visitors per day. Profiled and optimized the NestJS backend and MySQL schema, which cut sustained server CPU load by roughly 4×. Also built the retention system sending 400,000 emails per month and the anti-bot layer that has blocked 200,000 bot sessions.

Responsibilities +
- Designed and built the entire system from scratch.
- Owned and maintained frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Traced slow endpoints to unindexed and N+1 query patterns using slow-query logs and monitoring dashboards.
- Added targeted composite indexes and reworked the heaviest queries, dropping sustained CPU utilization from a 60–90% band to a steady 15–20% immediately after deploy.
- Left only short scheduled-job spikes on the CPU graph, removing the risk of saturation during peak traffic.
- Designed and built the retention system from scratch, delivering around 400,000 emails per month.
- Built bot detection and filtering that has blocked over 200,000 bot sessions, keeping traffic data and affiliate payouts clean.
- Discussed, designed, and implemented new product features.
- Tracked, investigated, and fixed production issues.
- Built the project's AI infrastructure: MCP servers exposing the database, Grafana, and GitHub to Claude Code, so agents can query production metrics, investigate issues, implement features, and write tests against real project context.
